Low Carb Keto Hazelnut Egg Coffee
Greetings from Resolution Eats headquarters.
(Also known as my kitchen table.) I'm just sitting here, sipping hazelnut coffee and listening to the new Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack. It's got a lot of great tunes but my current favorite is "Fox on the Run" by Sweet. (below)
It's got this great upbeat chorus, but the lyrics are actually kind of a downer, now that I listen closer.
"I don't want to know your name, cause you don't look the same. The way you did before." Jeez, man. Go easy on the broad. Apparently, it was written by the band in a bar one night and is about a groupie that no one liked. Poor foxy.
But you are probably here for the egg coffee, aren't you?
This is a low carb version of Vietnamese Egg Coffee. It's a sweet coffee with a lovely froth made from whisking together eggs, sweetener and cream. I adapted the recipe from this great blog called Ketovale. My version uses Torani Sugar-Free Hazelnut Syrup to give it a nice nutty flavor. But you can use the same amount of any flavored suger-free syrup and it will be just as tasty.
