September 26, 2019 at 12:47 pmI have made this several times, with one alteration. I found another recipe that didn’t have a cool down time in the fridge, so I tried that. Once the jello is dissolved in the hot (not boiling) water, just add the rest of the water and the yogurt and blend. I use my vitamix which adds a lot of volume, and there is no separation once cooled. I have tried so many different flavors, and even added a few other things like dried orange peel to the orange jello, and have loved everyone.

September 26, 2019 at 2:29 pmYum, orange peel sounds great in this. And I actually did just update my Jello Whip recipes to do a quick set instead of a 30 minute in the fridge cool down. So my new method is to cool the dissolved Jello down with ice water, and then I add it to a blender with the yogurt. I agree, you get a lot more air into the mixture with the blender.

September 19, 2019 at 1:12 pmThat is so funny, because I was just at the supermarket and I was thinking about doing a lemon Jello whip. I think this is the Universe telling me to make Lemon Jello. There is really no other explanation.

September 22, 2019 at 2:57 pmI loved it. For the first 20 minutes I was not fully on board with it, but once I got used to the new actors, I really enjoyed it. And I’ve got a 7 year old, so I am sure to see it many, many times.

July 30, 2019 at 9:43 amThe recipe is one I have made WAY before Keto was such a thing. Glad to see it’s posted for others to use. I’ve only used crèmè fraîche. Good to know the Greek yogurt works well. And now I can’t get that song out of my head. Ugggghhhh!!! :((

July 27, 2019 at 6:17 pmI made it per the recipe and with orange low fat, sugar free Greek yogurt. Both were good, but the orange yogurt is better in my opinion.

July 27, 2019 at 7:43 pmInteresting! I’ve never heard of orange low fat sugar free Greek yogurt before. Was there a difference in the carb count between plain yogurt and the orange yogurt?

July 7, 2019 at 3:33 pmThe recipe calls for plain non-fat Greek yogurt. Why can’t everyone just try that instead of immediately wanting to know if they can substitute it with something else? Sheesh.

July 7, 2019 at 5:10 pmTell it sister! For a two ingredient dessert, there really is a lot of debate.

August 3, 2019 at 4:26 pmSo true! If u substitute 1 out of 2 things u have changed the recipe completely. Same people who want to know if they can substitute chocolate for cottage cheese on a diet. Ga’head. Yah. G’head.

August 3, 2019 at 6:51 pmHa, yea. People’s substitutions can be funny sometimes. A blogger friend got a comment about changing the meat in a recipe. The woman wanted to know if she could substitute in “freshly slaughtered rabbit”. It was the “freshly slaughtered” part that cracked me up.

June 11, 2019 at 6:56 pmGreek yogurt isn’t keto, will this work with sugar free whipping cream?
EmilyKrill says
June 11, 2019 at 8:13 pmJeez Louise.
Greek yogurt is fine to eat in moderation on a Keto diet. But if you want to use heavy whipping cream instead of yogurt then that’s ok too. You dissolve 1 box of Sugar-Free Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Then mix in 3/4 cup cold water and 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream. Put it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until firm. The Jello will separate into 2 layers though, because cream rises to the top. So you’ll have a creamy layer that is like these Jello whips, but there will be a regular Jello layer below. It will still be delicious, just a little bit different.

June 10, 2019 at 5:45 pmCan you substitute the yogurt with kool whip? Thanks
EmilyKrill says
June 10, 2019 at 6:03 pmYes, you should be able to use Cool Whip in place of the yogurt. It has both corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup in it though, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you are doing a low carb/ low glycemic diet. But, having said that, the carb count is actually the same for yogurt and Cool Whip, so it’ll be 4g net carbs either way. Let me know how it goes if you try it.
