    Greetings 👋

    Well. It's 9 o'clock at night and all I can say is...What a day!

That's because I've spent all day making Keto Yogurt. 😅

So many bowls of yogurt! I've been playing around with an old recipe for Jello Yogurt Whips. So I made them one way, and then I made them another way, and then I made them a third and a fourth way. And soon my refrigerator was full to the brim with whips.

I have a ridiculous number of bowls, but at a certain point, I just ran out of bowls.

But the good news is that some of these low carb experiments turned out tasting just like Yoplait Yogurt Whips. And the best part about these whips is that you don't need to whip them at all. Nope, you can put away your electric mixer.

All you need to make these whip-less yogurt whips is 2 ingredients.

many many bowls of Keto yogurt

    🥣 Ingredients

Plain Green Yogurt- I am listing regular plain Greek yogurt in the ingredients because it's easy to find at the grocery store, but there are a lot of low carb yogurts on the market now that will work in this recipe. If you use a brand with 2 grams of carbohydrates per cup, then this recipe will be nearly zero-carb. You can also use sour cream, which will lower the carb count by 1g per serving. If you use sour cream it will be thinner and you'll need to let it set up for about 4 hours.

Sugar-Free Jello- You can use any flavor of Jello that you like in this flavored Keto Yogurt.  The four brands that make sugar-free Jello are Jello-O, Royal, GramZero, and Starburst.  Usually, the only brands that you can buy in the supermarket are Jell-O and Royal, but you can find the other two on Amazon. GramZero is of particular note because it is naturally sweetened with stevia. You still have the artificial colors and flavors, but you don't need to worry about the sweeteners.

    • Jell-O Brand Flavors: Cherry, Black Cherry, Lime, Lemon, Strawberry, Peach, Raspberry, and Orange
    • Royal Brand Flavors: Strawberry, Lime, Orange, Cherry, Raspberry
    • Starburst Brand Flavors: All Pink Strawberry, Blue Raspberry, Cherry
    • GramZero Brand Flavors: Raspberry, Strawberry, Cherry, Lemon, Lime, Orange

💬  Questions about low carb yogurt

    Is plain Greek yogurt Keto?

Yes, plain Greek yogurt is Keto because it is very low in carbohydrates. Try and find whole milk Greek yogurt if you can because it doesn't have any added sugar. It is also good to get a little extra fat into your diet when you are on Keto. But non-fat plain yogurt is fine too, it's only got about 1g of carbohydrate more.

What are the carbs in plain Greek yogurt?

Plain non-fat Greek yogurt has 11g of carbohydrates per cup, and the whole milk version has 10g. But this recipe cuts the yogurt with water and Jello, so 1 cup of flavored Keto Yogurt using whole milk yogurt as its base has just 3g of carbohydrates.

What are the best Keto yogurt brands?

Ratio and CARBmaster are the most popular brands of yogurt made specifically for low carb dieters. You can buy CARBmaster at Kroger and Ratio on Amazon or at Target and Walmart. But any brand of plain Greek yogurt is fine to use in this recipe. The nutritional info is based on using regular plain whole milk Greek yogurt of any brand.

    📖 Instructions

    1. Dissolve 1 small (.3oz) box of Sugar-Free Jello in one cup of boiling water.
    2. Whisk in 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt.
    3. Cool the yogurt down with ¾ cup cold water.
    4. Portion out yogurt mixture into 3 (1 cup) bowls or (8 oz) ramekins.  Alternately, you can keep it in the bowl to chill and scoop it out later in spoonfuls.
    5. Chill for 2 hours until firm.

And that's all it takes to make flavored Keto Yogurt at home. 👩‍🍳

Soon you'll have a low carb copy cat version of Yoplait Whips with only 73 calories and 3g net carbs. Or, as I like to call them, Faux-plait Whips.

Alright people, make it work! 😉
