This recipe for Quick Lemonade Sugar Free Jello Whips is a creamy, fruity treat with only 35 calories and 2g net carbs per serving. It’s a low carb dessert that you can whip up in no time.

See what I did there?
It’s a dessert you can “whip up”. Comedy gold, folks. But seriously, today I’m going to show you how to make the World’s Easiest Low Carb Dessert.

And if you have ever done any low carb cooking, you will know that easy desserts are hard to come by.
Most low carb baked goods require a plethora of specialty ingredients. Almond flour, coconut flour, erythritol, flax seed meal, psyllium husk powder… Xanthan Gum, whatever that is. But the low carb dessert recipe that I am sharing with you today has just two ingredients, Sugar Free Jello and Greek Yogurt.

And you can make these Sugar Free Jello Whips in a jiffy.
I posted an earlier version of this recipe a few years back, and people went apey for it. So I’ve been tinkering with it over the last few years. And recently I had a Jello breakthrough. I reduced the gel time by using ice, so I was able to shave 30 minutes off the prep time.

I also switched up the appliances.
The earlier version had you whipping air into the Jello and yogurt mixture with an electric hand mixer. But not anymore. Now you use a blender to whip it up. This actually makes the mixture much foamier than before.

And that’s about it.
I’ve got step-by-step photographs below the recipe card, but I doubt that you will need them. The steps are: Dissolve the Jello powder in hot water, Cool it down with ice water, Blend it with yogurt and Chill it. You can whip them up in less than 10 minutes, so what are you waiting for?
Let’s whip these babies up!

Can I use sugar free pudding?
EmilyKrill says
That’s a great question. I’ve never tried it, so I just don’t know.
Yaya says
I have made chocolate mousse with sugar free pudding and lite cool whip. Easy, creamy and cold. For Keto, sub heavy whipping cream.

Hi,
I love this idea it sounds delicious….one question…how thick does the jello need to be before I blend it and the yogurt together?
Thank you so much for these great recipes.
EmilyKrill says
It’s not going to be very thick at all. Just follow the instructions as written and it’ll turn out well.
Jeannette says
Can I substitute the yogurt with heavy cream?
EmilyKrill says
Not sure, haven’t tried it.
Doris says
Yes you can…been doing it here in Australia and call it jelly mousse! Yumo
LENORE says
It works well with lite cool whip too.
EmilyKrill says
Thanks for the tip! Watch the carb count when you sub in whipped cream though. It’s got exactly twice the carbs as cool whip.
Nancy says
I don’t keep yogurt around. I use a half cup heavy cream and a half cup sour cream and it works well
EmilyKrill says
Good to know.
Sandy says
Is this normal to have 2 layers?
The bottom (1/4 ) is like a cloudy watery layer. I was unable to get photo on this message.
★★★
EmilyKrill says
It is not normal for it to separate like that. It could be that the yogurt you used was full fat and it rose to the top.
Dottie says
Just take a whisk and whip it together and put it back in the refrigerator for awhile.
EmilyKrill says
Ok, Dottie.

How can this be done without artificial sweeteners in it. I’m allergic to anything with aspartame or saccharine etc in. In any case artificial sweeteners are carcinogenic and so bad for you
EmilyKrill says
I suppose you could make a Jello whip with a combination of unflavored gelatin, lemon juice, yogurt and stevia. I don’t care the taste of stevia though, so it’s not something I’m going to experiment with.

Being a diabetic is “bad” for you too but life happens. Please walk in someone else’s shoes and be considerate or be silent as my Grandmother would say.

Can I make this with almond yogurt?
EmilyKrill says
Almond milk yogurt or almond flavored yogurt? I haven’t tried either, but I don’t see why either one wouldn’t work.
Krista says
What brand yogurt did you use? I can fin any w/ that low of carbs
EmilyKrill says
Both Fage and Oikos make nonfat Greek yogurt with 2g carbs per 1/4 cup serving. And each serving of these Jello Whips uses 1/4 cup.
Marsha says
Can I use monk fruit sweetener. If I
can, how much would you suggest?
EmilyKrill says
Sugar Free Jello already has sweetener, so you don’t need to add any. If this is about the earlier comment from the person who can’t eat artificial sweeteners, then I don’t know. You’d need to just experiment with making Jello out of unflavored gelatin, lemon and monk fruit and then whip in yogurt.
