🎶"Prince Ali! Mighty is he! Ali Ababwa. Strong as ten regular men, definitely!"🎶 Aladdin

    Hello! 👋

Man oh man. I watched the live-action Aladdin movie last night, so I've had those songs in my head this morning as I made these Orange Creamsicle Jello Whips. And now I shall pass this earworm onto you. (here's the video)

    Catchy, am I right?

    But let's focus. 😐

I'm here to share a recipe for Orange Creamsicle Jello Whips, a most delicious treat. It's this very easy-to-make dessert with zero sugar and 35 calories. I predict that this creamy fruity whip will become a favorite in your household. It's certainly on the Top 10 Desserts list in mine.

So let me show you how to make them.

    two Orange Creamsicle Jello Whips

    ✴️ Ingredients

    • Orange Sugar-Free Jello
    • boiling water
    • ice water
    • plain Greek yogurt

    🌈 Other Sugar-Free Jello Flavors

You can use any flavor of Jello that you like in these Keto Jello Whips. The four brands that make sugar-free Jello are Jello-O, Royal, GramZero, and (somewhat surprisingly) Starburst.  Usually, the only brands that you can buy in the supermarket are Jell-O and Royal, but you can find the other two on Amazon.

    • Jell-O Brand Flavors: Cherry, Black Cherry, Lime, Lemon, Strawberry, Peach, Raspberry, and Orange
    • Royal Brand Flavors: Strawberry, Lime, Orange, Cherry, Raspberry
    • Starburst Brand Flavors: All Pink Strawberry, Blue Raspberry, Cherry
    • GramZero Brand Flavors: Raspberry, Strawberry, Cherry, Lemon, Lime, Orange

    🍚 Naturally sweetened Jello

I often hear from people who are concerned about the artificial sweeteners used in Jello. Well, I am happy to report that I've found a brand of gelatin that is naturally sweetened. It's the GramZero Jello that I mentioned. It is sweetened with Stevia, so it's a healthier way to go if you are worried about artificial ingredients.

    📖 Instructions

    1. Add ¾ cup boiling water to a medium-sized bowl.  Pour in Jello powder and stir until fully dissolved.
    2. Make 1 cup of ice water by measuring out 1 cup of ice, and pouring water in until it fills the cup.
    3. Add ice water to the dissolved Jello and mix until ice melts and Jello thickens.
    4. Add Jello mixture and 1 cup yogurt to a blender and blend on high for 30 seconds.
    5. Pour the Jello into serving glasses or a medium-sized bowl and chill for 2 hours.
a spoonful of Orange Creamsicle Jello Whips

    Done! 🥰

This is hands down, the easiest recipe on this site. It's a low-calorie dessert that you can "whip up" in no time. And it's just perfect for snacking on as you belt out Aladdin songs.

Hi, my mom used to make this for us when we were little.
She used jello and cool whip...whipped them together after the jello was set.
      I now use yogurt.
      It's yummy!

this looks great. I wonder, if you used unflavored gelatin and the kool-aid packets, how much sweetener, you would need, to add?

I've never tried this method- you'd have to just tinker with it until it tasted sweet enough.

Can’t wait to try this but wonder if I can substitute unflavored gelatin & something for the fruit flavor since I’m not wanting the artificial sweetener in the sugar free jello. Thanks, Joyce

That sounds doable, but I don’t know what the measurements would be. You’d need to play around with it.

Using "homemade" Kool-Aid is not any better for you than SF Jello in terms of chemicals, if that is what you are trying to accomplish. Both use Aspartame and Maltodextrin for sweetness. You are really just substituting one set of chemicals for another.

Do you add the ice that hasn’t melted?

Then the boiling water will quickly melt the ice, and the liquid will be cool.

Ha, ha, ha. Thanks for the laugh. The funniest substitution I've heard was whether or not beef could be replaced with "freshly slaughtered rabbit meat". (The answer was yes, definitely. Hare it up!)

I have made this several times, with one alteration. I found another recipe that didn’t have a cool down time in the fridge, so I tried that. Once the jello is dissolved in the hot (not boiling) water, just add the rest of the water and the yogurt and blend. I use my vitamix which adds a lot of volume, and there is no separation once cooled. I have tried so many different flavors, and even added a few other things like dried orange peel to the orange jello, and have loved everyone.

Yum, orange peel sounds great in this. And I actually did just update my Jello Whip recipes to do a quick set instead of a 30 minute in the fridge cool down. So my new method is to cool the dissolved Jello down with ice water, and then I add it to a blender with the yogurt. I agree, you get a lot more air into the mixture with the blender.

That is so funny, because I was just at the supermarket and I was thinking about doing a lemon Jello whip. I think this is the Universe telling me to make Lemon Jello. There is really no other explanation.

The recipe is one I have made WAY before Keto was such a thing. Glad to see it's posted for others to use. I've only used crèmè fraîche. Good to know the Greek yogurt works well. And now I can't get that song out of my head. Ugggghhhh!!! :((
