Greetings Sugar-Free Jello lovers,
Today I’m going to share one of my most popular recipes, a Low Carb and Keto Jello Yogurt Whip. It’s an easy dessert that you whip up, both figuratively and literally. But before we get to the recipe, I want to take a brief trip back in time to the 1960’s and 70’s when people put just about everything in Jello. (See image below.)
The image you see above is taken from a Weight Watcher’s Cookbook circa 1974.
It’s one in a series of ever more disturbing recipes. A woman named Wendy McClure found these recipe cards and published them online with some hilarious commentary. Here’s an example of yet another Jello recipe, this time with commentary:
Pretty funny, right?
There are even funnier images on her website.
But let’s set these culinary abominations aside for a minute and talk about the Sugar-Free Jello recipe at hand.
To make this dessert, all you need is Sugar-Free Jello, yogurt and water. Pretty basic. You make it like you would normal Jello, but you add a step of whipping in yogurt with an electric mixer. And that’s it, soon you’ll have a low carb and Keto dessert with only 4g net carbs. Ok, now that I’ve shared my recipe, I’m going to leave you with just one more 1974 Weight Watchers recipe.
I give you…the Frankfurter Spectacular. Enjoy!
