There are some things that I’ve really been missing, since we moved from Brooklyn.
And one of those things is the Italian bakeries. The kind were old men sit around drinking espresso and eating cannoli. And where you can find beautifully prepared marzipan treats made in the shape of fruits and vegetables. So good.
Well, the good news is that you can make your own sugar-free marzipan at home.
The bad news is that I am not quite talented enough to pull off forming the marzipan into cute little fruits and vegetables. We’ll just have to make do with ball shapes. But we can dye them in fun colors and drizzle them with chocolate so there is that. These treats are full of almondy goodness and only have 2g net carbs each. So relax with an espresso and a piece of marzipan.
And you’ll almost feel like you are in Brooklyn.
